I have spent so much time lately making bulleted lists, that when it became time to reorganize this page, that seemed the obvious way to do it.

  • If you are interested in my professional qualifications, check my resume.
  • For physical and lifestyle attributes, try my dating resume.

Now on to random facts…

  • I have a private pilot’s license.
  • I am an ordained minister.
  • I was a boy scout.
  • I bought my first computer (an S-100 system) in 1978.
  • I am divorced after 16 years of marriage.
  • My birthdate (in YYMMDD format), is found at the 1,235,047th digit of Pi after the decimal point. Unfortunately, the millenium-compliant version (YYYYMMDD) does not appear in the first 50 million digits.
  • I have a NAUI SCUBA certification.
  • I read lots of science fiction and mystery novels.
  • I learned to program on punch cards, and still have some (and a card reader).
  • I like to wear women’s clothes. (Here are some pictures if you’re interested.)
  • I was recently threatened by an attorney from Hooters because of pictures on my pages.
  • I have lived all my life in Arkansas, but I have visited 38 states (plus Washington D.C.) and 8 foreign countries.
  • I have worked in computers at UALR for 28 years.
  • I used to belong to a Southern Baptist Church, but they had a real problem with men in skirts.
  • Just for grins, I recently entered an amateur modeling contest. It appeared to be aimed at women, but didn’t disqualify men from entering. After they received my entry, they changed their submission form (to not ask gender), and disqualified me. Oh, well… Would you like to see my submissions?
  • I collect stamps and matchbooks.
  • I am the author of the VMS tape translation package ETAPE.
  • My favorite computer language is Perl.
  • I have also written programs in Perl, C, BASIC, FORTRAN, PL/1, B, DCL. TCL, several assemblers, and about 20 others, most of which no one has ever heard of.
  • I scored 69% (345/500) on the Nerdity test.
  • I (unfortunately) scored 50% sex100 pure on the Purity test for non-virgins. (Some people contend that there is a direct correlation between this and the nerdity score. When I first took it, I was at 69%. I’m trying to prove this theory wrong. Want to help me?)
  • My favorite color is blue.
  • Having recently discovered this page, I’m proud to claim the label Liberal
  • I am a Usenet News junkie.
  • I spend far too much time playing with computers.
